As a person in a larger sized body, the lack of safety Erin Bogle (@biggirlYYC) has felt in fitness and health spaces is long standing, unsurprising, and unjust. ⁣

I first met Erin through her creation of Big Girl YYC, a community born from women in larger bodies feeling like they didn’t belong or didn’t feel fully safe in fitness and health spaces. ⁣

It all started when Erin considered going to a cycling spinning class…and then quickly reconsidered. 👇🏻⁣

Her thoughts went to, “I don’t belong in a spin class in this body. The bike won’t hold my body. That space isn’t for someone like me.”⁣

Erin Bogle, she/her/hers, is a size inclusive advocate, community builder, mama, and wife. ⁣

In today’s @tobirthandbeyondpodcast episode Erin recounts and educates on the uncomfortable and harmful experiences had by those in larger, bigger, fat bodies in fitness and health spaces. ⁣

And for our fitness and health colleagues, today’s episode is another opportunity for us to look at our businesses, marketing, and coaching. ⁣
