Whatcha been up to lately? Wherever you are in the world, I hope spring is finding you…or at the very least, is coming quick! Isn’t it funny when you spend some time outside in the sunshine after a long layoff (seriously, long) and just then you realize how much you missed it?

We’ve had some spring days here in Alberta and I’ve been trying to soak them up as much as possible, because Winter could start again tomorrow, and surely will 🙂 Here’s what’s been happening in my life lately:

1. The 2nd Annual “Shed Your Winter Coat Event”! I’m SO excited to finally release this into the world today for you guys. This is a 12-week distance coaching program, meaning you can be anywhere in the world to participate. If you have a bit of a winter coat you’d like to leave behind, or if you want to strength train to feel fab,  this is your IN. Registration officially opens TODAY, with workouts starting April 7th. I won’t open it again until spring 2015 + there’s an extra special JMG Fitness 1 year anniversary rate on, so head over HERE to check out all the details!

(Ps. How cute is this gal? My sissy :))

2. Fernie, BC. Oh, baby. Imagine this being your backyard view? Had a great ski day in a gorgeous ski town.

3. Salad CAN be a meal. I’m serious. Fried potatoes (in bacon fat, obvs), bacon, avocado, goat cheese, red peps, greens, drizzle of olive oil + white balsamic vinegar.

4. Cupcakes. You know I had to go there 🙂 The red velvet was especially good this day, but ate it too quick to snap a pic.

5. Spriiiiiints! Going running and going sprinting are entirely different things. I’m not into running, like, at all. I’m definitely into sprinting though. Short, fast, effective. Plus, there’s way more rest than work, which I’m probably most into, ha!

6. How Successful People Think. I’m working with Jill Coleman, biz/mindset coach extraordinaire with a bunch of other incredible women for a whole year and this was the first book we read. Truth = I’m not much of a book reader. I read a bunch, but it’s usually anatomy, science-y, body stuff. Highly recommend this read if you’re looking to pique your creative juices and challenge your thought process (hint: that’s always good).

7. Bodyweight workouts. I’ve been on a bodyweight workout kick lately designing workouts for my Fit Mama Challengers and for myself when a trip to the gym is just not in the cards. This workout the other night was at 11:30pm, country music on, 100 reps each of bodyweight squats, band rows and hip thrusts.

8. Body love. I’m kind of obsessed with this positive body image, body and self-love movement that’s happening in the fitness industry right now. Leading the way is Molly Galbraith who is running a month long “Love Your Body Challenge” with a different task each day that allow you to recognize and honour our bodies. I’d highly recommend joining in and just seeing what comes up 🙂

As I come up on the 1-year anniversary of my business, JMG Fitness Consulting, I truly can’t thank you enough for reading and following along my journey. Most importantly, thank you for allowing me to join in on your journey.

I’d love for you to head over to check out what Shed Your Winter Coat is all about. As a token of my appreciation, the anniversary sale is now live. I’d be so lucky to have you 🙂
