[PODCAST] Untangling Your Body Composition From Exercising
[NEW] Untangling Your Body Composition From Exercising
Tell me, friend…
How much of your daily energy is spent thinking about your body?
Specifically, thinking about making or keeping your body smaller. Molding your body into something different.
If you’re anything like me, controlling my body composition used to be a near full-time job.
The truth is, for almost 20 years (…sigh) I used food and exercise as a tool to keep from being in a larger body. And that feels deeply sad.
It wasn’t until I became absolutely, soul crushingly exhausted by these preoccupations AND started questioning the BS beliefs about bodies I had been handed since I was a young girl…that everything changed for me.
I became enraged.
And, I’d like to invite you to share in that rage with me.
On this week’s To Birth and Beyond podcast episode, myself and my friend Tara Abel talk about how we each began to untangle controlling our body composition from exercise.
The messages we are given about our bodies as women and historically oppressed folks are trash. The way we continue to uphold them is dangerous for ourselves and others.
It’s a raw, real conversation about our experiences through childhood, pregnancies, postpartum, and into these current version of our adult bodies.
Enjoy this step into us processing our journeys on the show.
